A Teacher of Technology in Education

Howdy All,

Today I had the pleasure with another colleague to hear inspirational speaker Marco Torres , part of the MAC1 Melbourne presents… series. The day was filled with inspirational stories, student work and achievements, as well as many, many experiences Marco has had travelling around the world visiting and working with schools and teachers.

One comment that has really had an impact on me, as a teacher is ‘ do we as teachers know HOW our students learn, not just know what they have learnt? How can we as educators  work with our students to expand their thirst for learning, not just achieving?

Loved hearing Marco play the violin on his iPad, so very cool, gotta get that app!

Now to look at my teaching for tomorrow,  are my lessons giving students a thirst for learning, or are they just working to complete my tasks? Lots to think and re think about.

Bye for now

Raff 🙂
